Make Money Blogging – Part 1
22 Jun
Welcome to a four-part guide which is meant to help you with your attempts to make money online through blogging. First part of this guide will discuss the very basics you need to consider before you even start.
Premises of Blogging
- Good language skills (not necessarily English),
- creativity and dedication,
- experience in your niche,
- willingness to learn.
Although the list above is far from complete, you would face serious problems if you lacked more than one aspect from it.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the word niche – it means the area of your expertise. Obviously, you can’t write about health issues if you have no clue how to cure allergies.
How Many Posts?
Let’s say you’ve decided that blogging is the right path for you. Next thing to get used to is consistency. It doesn’t really matter how many posts per week or per month you choose – it can be 1 per week or 1 every day. When you start, the more the better, because you need to attract your regular visitors.
But, after picking that number, you have to stick with it, especially in the beginning of your blog. If you want to have regular readers (yes, you do), this periodicity is one of the major elements to ensure their loyalty.
Give Value to Your Readers!
Before you write even one letter, don’t forget to ask yourself the harsh, but very truthful question – why should they care?
Seriously, your potential readers need to invest time in your article and while it may be important for you to promote your business opportunity or to tell them that you have two new kittens, it’s not imporant for them.
Be successful and always write something that your readers will appreciate.
